New York State Police and Herkimer Poison Gas Attacks

Stephen Ames Berry and Linda Kaidan

“Human trafficking finds both its victims and perpetrators in regions of
poverty, violence, and corruption.”  Shannon A. Welch, Human Trafficking and Terrorism

Last month we met with New York State Police Investigator Jason Nellis at his request. We talked for about 90 minutes in a part of our home not yet contaminated by Herkimer trafficking gangs’ 21 months of poison gas attacks.  Our conversation highlighted the inherent inability of local and state law enforcement to cope with gang-based domestic terrorism.

Herkimer Child Trafficking Sparks  Concern In Albany

Nellis came in response  to “the concerns of several people” in Albany regarding our widely-read series exposing Herkimer’s extensive role in the multi-billion dollar transcontinental child trafficking industry.  He also addressed our nearly 2 years reporting gang attacks on our property and selves using volatilized pesticides.

It was an information-only visit during which Investigator Nellis clearly articulated why the New York State Police aren’t players in the child trafficking and gang-busting arena.

We were our usual unflinchingly outspoken selves. Investigator Nellis was an engaged listener. He didn’t agree with some of our suppositions, and we didn’t agree with some of his assumptions. It was a polite and frank  exchange during which we made the following points.

  • Herkimer child trafficking now  apparently out of range of our cameras – Not gone far. Child trafficking brings welcomed cash into economically depressed Herkimer. Has long been protected here. Logistically complex operation with many dependencies. Has proven local partners and protected properties. Moving it from Herkimer would be difficult, costly, time consuming and risky.
  • Herkimer landlords complacently shelter child traffickers  – Property owner need not be complicit  with cash heavy criminals.  Just has to rent to them.  Herkimer’s historic child trafficking hub properties’ landlord Jay Smith was case  raised by state police investigator. For years Smith provided rental properties to the high-volume transnational child trafficker Little Mama and the Stanley Sykes gang. Gang’s still there, still trafficking.
  • FBI has sole jurisdiction over child trafficking – This we knew. Local and state police agencies haven’t the resources to tackle child trafficking cartels and their transnational networks. Billions in child trafficking profits make  large bribes possible. The FBI has the resources to take on large gangs and also provides assurance of integrity.

Why State Police can’t stop Herkimer poison gas attacks

It became obvious as we talked that the State of New York has no way to detect and interdict poison gas attacks on the scale we’ve experienced.  No state does–states haven’t the resources and their police agencies haven’t the structure. These heinous attacks constitute domestic terrorism. They’re staged from fleets vehicles modified to stealthily dispense clouds of invisible, odorless pesticide, and from neighboring  properties rented to  drug and child traffickers.

This isn’t just about us.  The many vehicles and properties involved argue this is a well-established, well-honed strategy for driving people from their homes, dead or alive.  Houses can then be picked up for a song at tax auction, quickly mitigated and tenanted  with gang members.

There was much talk of the burden of proof  being our responsibility. Opening an investigation  would require evidence in the form of medical tests and property toxicity reports–at our expense.

Investigator Nellis used the word “evidence’ quite a bit. No evidence, no investigation. We think probable cause should be enough to open an investigation with evidence to be obtained by the police during the course of the investigation.

Only the FBI Can Halt Herkimer Gangs

There have been strong indications in the last few years of a large Federal law enforcement presence in and around Herkimer. Eyes in the sky, boots on the ground. It seems to us toxicity levels from these poisons attacks have been confirmed by lab testing and direct observation. And resources deployed accordingly.

Some big bites have been taken out of the gangs’ poison gas campaign capabilities in Herkimer. The feds have the resources for this. Drone mounted thermal imaging cameras can detect poison gas being dispensed, and follow the identified spraying vehicles and deal with their drivers.

Let’s put a tiny part of NY’s “$224 million in federal funding to support counterterrorism and emergency preparedness” to good use.

In September  2018 Herkimer County was awarded $89,974 as part of a statewide grant to improve safety in New York. Counter-terrorism is one purpose of this grant. Perhaps a very small part of it could go to halting child trafficking activities on Pleasant Avenue in Herkimer, NY using modern technology, like the FLIR Griffin™ G510 portable gas chromatograph mass spectrometer (GC-MS).  This chemical hazard identification device can quickly identify serious hazards. A single device can be shared by multiple counties and solve problems currently identified as being “impossible to prove.”  Help end the long reign of Herkimer’s three monkeys.

Herkimer Gas Attacks Blossoming With Spring

by Stephen Ames Berry

Herkimer March 2018 Gas Attacks

Herkimer gas attacks have resumed here on Pleasant Avenue  and are blossoming with Spring. Having failed to drive us from our house and been only moderately successful in poisoning us in our beds over the last year, our murderous band of neighbors are trying to deny us our backyard.

When we’re out back for more than a few minutes, a poisonous insecticide rolls in.  It’s odorless, colorless, its familiar symptoms those of pyrethrim:  tongue and lip numbness, drooling, lethargy, itching, short term memory loss, muscle tremors, respiratory problems. The gas quickly disperses, but the symptoms linger for hours. It comes from the direction of King Street.

Assuming its misted from the west of our yard by an easily-concealed handfogger, the pesticide  is dispensed toward us from within the circle on the map. The smaller, easily hidden pesticide foggers have a coverage area of 5,000 square feet, according to the handfogger directions. We’re easily in range from any part of that red circle.

Surrounded by Sykes Gang and A Spreading Plague of Vacant Houses

The gas creeps in when we’re out of line of sight of the neighboring yards. This requires spotters–that would be the Sykes gang, long comfortably nested in landlord Jay Smith properties on the other side of us. (See map.) The two houses to S. Sykes left and the one to his right are vacant. (The guys in 332 Pleasant work during the day.) Indeed, over time there’s been a creeping plague of vacant houses overlooking or near the Sykes gang’s domain. This is symptomatic of a ruthless and depraved criminal enterprise expanding it’s turf. Were the houses’ occupants gassed, or did they just think it healthier to move?

Looking at the gassing map (below), the immediate reason for poisoning us is obvious: our house and its cameras look right down the throat of the Stanley Sykes gang’s empire of dirt surrounding the parking lot. (They frequently complain they’ve paid for the right to traffic there and that we need to be gone and they’ll soon see us on our way.)

March 2018 Gassing Attacks

3/30/18  1200 hrs. Warm day. Gassed in backyard from the direction of King Street as we stood on backstairs. Only direction not within sight or fully fully covered by cameras.

3/11/18 Installing light on back steps when yard misted with pyrethrim. Usual symptoms. Attack appeared to come from backyard several houses down Pleasant Avenue from the King Street side, given prevailing wind and that I was watching immediately adjacent houses and yards on Pleasant and Eureka Avenues as worked.

Driveby poison gas attacks from Pleasant Avenue: none noted since the 2/27/18 attack reported by Linda Kaidan in her post.

Yeah, not many yet. Endured about 50 last  year. How many poison gas attacks are acceptable?  We expect more gas attacks as the weather gets nicer and we’re outside more often, improving our security and expanding our wealth of  Herkimer crime YouTube offerings.

Herkimer NY Jewish Blogger Gassed

by Stephen Ames Berry

We must be doing something right: Herkimer Post Crime Editor Stephen Ames Berry in front of sealed, lethally gassed Herkimer Post office in Herkimer NY

When you defiantly live among a band of murderers, as we do on Herkimer New York’s hopefully-named Pleasant Avenue, you Herkimer New York Blogger gassed by local band of murderersshouldn’t be surprised when they try to murder you. Perhaps the irony of their gassing a Jew in an historic German-American community escaped them. Or not.

“Go back to some Arab country!”

The Herkimer Jewish blogger gassed? The Herkimer Post’s Linda Kaidan. In fairness, she’d been warned by frightened but good-hearted people, that if she kept writing about Herkimer crime, “They’ll kill you.” And Herkimer anti-Semitic thug Curtis Cool and his alt-right chums, catching her out along one dark night, harassed her with “go back to some Arab country!”

Our attackers botched it, and by botching it revealed much. (More of that in the next posting.)

The gas attack followed our post Herkimer Crime 2016 – 20,421 Worldwide Views. It celebrated the Herkimer Post’s growing readership, an audience drawn by Herkimer’s  brazen criminality, and by the antics of  cop-coddled criminals like Curtis Cool.  Several of our depraved Herkimer neighbors participated in the attack, as they have in previous such attempts.

Herkimer – The Gassing of the Jew – 2/22/17

Somewhere between 0200 and 0400 on 2/22/17, assailants using a ladder breached Linda Kaidan’s 2nd floor office-bedroom at 330 Pleasant Avenue.  Her office is well-known to our creepily-watching criminal neighbors as home to her writing nook and to The Herkimer Post, which I co-write.

We awoke sickened, tasting and smelling the faint but distinct metallic residue of pesticide. Our symptoms were immediate, debilitating and familiar from previous poisoning attacks on us.

Those symptoms are typical of organophosphate and carbamate-based insecticide poisoning: Between the two of us we experienced dizziness, nausea, heart palpitations, difficulty breathing, burning sensations in throat and eyes minor muscle spams, fatigue, joint and muscle pain. We’re still suffering discomfort, but are up and running.

Herkimer Jewish Blogger Gassed
The first gas mask I used wasn’t up to the job. I lasted 3 minutes amid the fumes in our office.

Our attackers avoided alarm sensors and motion detectors by perching on a ladder outside our house, silently dispensing with practiced ease a massive quantity of an aerosol-delivered, heavy-duty pesticide through the office-bedroom the window. They apparently poked a nozzle between the a/c’s insulation and the side of the window. A backpack sprayer was probably used.

The Herkimer Post has transferred it’s flag. Linda’s office is sealed for later attention. That room has what’s probably a lethal level of pesticide in it, evident when you try to work there protected by anything other than  PT-100 certified respirator, of the sort used by hazmat teams and the military.

This murderous attack may be the first on an American activist blogger-a first for Herkimer New York. Given the US’ toxic political climate and its blossoming anti-Semitisim, there’ll probably be more.

We’ve reported this attack to the New York State Police. They now have everything we have on all things Herkimer. Future posts have all been written, which is why the delay in posting this one. They’re on a cloud server in Bulgaria and set for timed release, a virtual dead man’s trigger. We haven’t troubled Herkimer authorities with this matter.
