Herkimer’s Servants of Darkness

Herkimer criminal sabotaging security light

Stephen Ames Berry

Our little security light sure keeps bringing out Herkimer’s servants of darkness. They hate that it illuminates the otherwise inky blackness of some of ill-lit Pleasant Avenue’s traditional drug and child trafficking areas. Putting up the light, we were immediately attacked by neighbors who crave darkness. That didn’t work. So now our criminal neighbors are summoning their nerve to take out the light. On camera.

Here’s a video of recent forays by two of Herkimer’s servants of darkness, The Pusher and The Blocker:

Herkimer Servant of Darkness 1 – The Pusher

0:01-0:09 – Yes, it’s Kyle Stone again, shoving the light. He lives next door at Jay Smith’s 332 Pleasant Ave.  Traffics out of there. Kyle may not be immuned to Covid19, but he does seem immune to being jailed. And obviously still unable to dress himself without the help of his long-suffering mother.

Herkimer Servant of Darkness 2 – The Blocker

0:10 – End Despite six years in the trenches here, I don’t recognize this guy. His swagger and unblinking trespassing and vandalism mark him as a gang guy with their usual sense of entitlement to anything they see.  Here he proves that stupidity and arrogance are often entwined, breaking the law on three cameras and within a few feet of an audio pickup.

Gang guy ineffectively blocks our light on the side with a piece of cardboard, then chats briefly with durable Herkimer drug and child trafficker Carrie Ann Bass, who pulls up across the street in the dented roller skate of a car the gang’s letting her use. She thanks him, proclaims him “My savior!” He says “That’s so fucked up!” with righteous indignation. (He means the light he failed to fuckup.)  They then go their separate ways, she to traffic, he to probably also do good.

Perhaps they’re testing to see if we’re watching the cameras and if the cameras work? We are. They do. See the post the light is mounted on? It has room for another light facing toward Protection Avenue and Kyle Stone’s. Anything happens to light #1, we’ll add light #2 and bump up  the wattage.

Stay safe, Herkimer.

This blog is our perspective on living in Herkimer, a small village nestled along the Mohawk River. It began as a gardening and real estate blog, then grew into a war blog when entrenched drug and child trafficking gangs tried to drive us and our cameras out. It took ten years, but the gangs are gone, thanks to Federal law enforcement. It's all on the blog.
