Thursday, 3/18, gave a brief glimpse of the simmering conflict between Herkimer’s entrenched gang families, their combat-seasoned neighbors, and the Herkimer community’s desire to see drug and child trafficking gone. Its focal point was the angry departure of Thug Vargas from 328 Pleasant Ave. Thug is the brother-in-law of our immediate neighbor Kim Vargas, who we’ve outed for drug trafficking and neighbor harassment. Don’t know his first name, but Thug is appropriate. (Surely there’s a warrant out somewhere on this guy?)
At 12:24 pm we heard enraged males shouting incoherently, off-camera, from the direction of the Vargas’ driveway. It’s next to landlord Jay Smith’s 326 1/2 Pleasant Avenue, aka The Drunks’ House. The loudest voice sounded like Kim Vargas’ brother-in-law, Thug Vargas—we know his voice from the Vargases’ threats and harassment. (“Kick your teeth down your throat.” I was trimming my yard.)
“We waited, but no pitchforks-and-torches mob descended on us…
Our indefatigable resident Jew popped outside for a moment as the angry shouting continued. “Some guy screamed ‘…Jews telling people what to do!” she reported. I pulled the audio feed. Couldn’t distinguish much from amid the berserk male voices. I may have heard “scum” repeated a few times. We waited, but no pitchforks-and-torches mob descended on us, for which we thank the well-known synergy between our surveillance cameras and law enforcement.
Video Timeline
12:26 pm (0.01-0.17) Thug Vargas gets into U-Haul and drives off. Haven’t seen him since.
12:29 – 12:32 pm (0.18-1:10) Two Herkimer Police officers visit with the Vargases. (We didn’t call them. Our thanks to whoever did.)
1: 55pm – 2:04 pm (01:14-end) In the tradition of Jew gassing… I was out on an errand. Our driveway was clean when I left and filled with the usual pesticide when I returned. Only two vehicles passed in that brief time. One was neighbor Joyce Barton’s (333 Pleasant) gray car, the other an unfamiliar pickup truck. Over the years we’ve documented the drug-dealing Bartons’ rich history of harassment, assault and poison gassing of us.
With the weather turning nice we expect some of our murderous band of neighbors will try to resume their traditional Spring harassment and poisoning offensive. (Year eight.) In the past, we’ve overheard that our child trafficking and drug trafficking videos “hurt a lot of families”.

Herkimer Folks Not A Pack of Rabid Bigots
Note to new readers: We’ve been getting thousands of views per month from ip addresses across the US. Except for our child trafficking series, this is unusual for us. We assume many are from people looking to relocate. Underway now seems to be the start of the largest mass migration since the fall of the Roman Empire. Certainly, any decent real estate in our village is sold almost the instant its listed. License plates from coastal states and as far way as Alaska, California, and Nevada have been spotted in the Walmart parking lot.
About those Devolved Humans In Our Videos
The devolved humans on our street and in our videos aren’t reflective of Herkimer as a whole. Pleasant Avenue has long a gang street, and we’re ringed by the several houses still occupied by gang members, dug in like ticks.

It’s become obvious that the wholesale drug and child trafficking reported here has sharply declined. Regional and federal law enforcement have eyes in the skies and boots on the ground, and we quickly post about evildoing. Backed by the state police, the Herkimer PD has stepped up and respond speedily and effectively. Herkimer and all of Upstate New York are an area in transition.
Much of the property here in south Herkimer village is in sound shape, with spacious, sturdy 19th-century homes built by the master carpenters of the vanished Herkimer Standard Desk Company. They’re underpriced and in the most flood-safe part of the village, neighborhoods protected by a network of well-maintained dykes.

Those properties will come on the market once their owners are convinced that housing traffickers is no longer profitable.
The area around Herkimer’s gorgeous, sitting as it does at the confluence of the Mohawk River and West German Creek., an easy fifteen-minute walk from our home:
