Vaccinated? Prove It. New York’s Covid-19 Vaccination Passport

New York Excelsior Pass

Stephen Ames Berry

“In every well-ordered society…the rights of the individual may at times, under the pressure of great dangers, be subjected to restraint, to be enforced by reasonable regulations, as the safety of the general public may demand.” Justice John Harlan 1905

Responding to vaccination resistance during a smallpox epidemic, the US Supreme Court found in 1905 found that Americans do not have an inalienable right to sicken others.

Criminals are producing forgeries of the CDC Covid-19 paper vaccination card. Hopefully, the Feds will eventually create and mandate an encrypted card verifiable in real-time from a federal database. Until, then New York again leads the way, with its unhackable pass from IBM. Excelsior! indeed. I ❤ New York.

Walmart will be issuing digital passports to those vaccinated in its stores, possibly as a way to restrict access and encourage vaccinations. Not being able to shop at the fabled Supercenters should encourage even the most selfish to be vaccinated.

Get vaccinated, please. If not for yourself, for your kids: Covid-19 variants are rapidly spreading and sickening children.

This blog is our perspective on living in Herkimer, a small village nestled along the Mohawk River. It began as a gardening and real estate blog, then grew into a war blog when entrenched drug and child trafficking gangs tried to drive us and our cameras out. It took ten years, but the gangs are gone, thanks to Federal law enforcement. It's all on the blog.
